Not one word on this page has been made up. Whatever appears below will be a real customer describing one job arranged through Honest Plumber Twickenham, in their own words, with the area and the kind of work attached.
An Empty Shelf Beats a Stocked One
A wall of five-star quotes on day one should make you suspicious. Real reviews take time to arrive. A short page costs us nothing, whereas a padded one would tell you nothing you could use.
Each Review Is a Receipt
A review should trace back to something that happened. A burst pipe on Hampton Hill High Street, a gurgling drain in a Strawberry Hill conversion, a cylinder swap in a Fulwell semi: each entry will say what kind of work it was and where, and we will be able to say which visit it describes.
No Reward, No Nudge
Leave a review and you get nothing for it; stay silent and you pay no more. The Competition and Markets Authority has said fake and incentivised reviews mislead consumers, and we follow that line.
What You Can Check Right Now
Strip every review out of the picture and there is still plenty you can test for yourself:
- Local detail you can compare with your own street: pages on Strawberry Hill, Fulwell and Hampton Hill
- A phone that answers at any hour, weekends, bank holidays and rugby match days included
- A written quote before any work starts, from the partner company that will do it
- A real address and number: 45A Wellesley Rd, Twickenham TW2 5RX, and 07480 487846
Hold that four-point test up against whoever else is on your shortlist.
Why Judging the Work Takes a Winter
The real test of a boiler repair comes when the cold returns. Thames Water's hard supply, 251 mg/l in its 2024 report, scales exchangers over time, so a repair that ignored the scale can reappear in the next freeze. Fair feedback often arrives months later.
Three Questions for Every Firm
Whoever you ring, ask who will turn up, whether the quote is in writing before work starts, and what happens if it goes wrong. Our answers are on how we work, in our terms and on the about page.

Questions, Answered Plainly
Why is this page empty of customer quotes?
We publish reviews only from real customers describing real jobs, and a young page starts bare. Reviews cannot honestly appear faster than people write them, and stuffing the space with invented praise would be untrue and against UK consumer rules. Genuine reviews, when they arrive, will appear with the type of job and the area, unedited.
Do you pay customers for reviews?
No. Leaving a review earns nobody a discount, a free visit or a gift, and staying silent costs nobody extra. The Competition and Markets Authority treats incentivised reviews as misleading. A review ought to be the customer's own view of a job done by a partner company, put in their own words, and it should never be something they felt nudged into writing.
How will you know a review is genuine?
Each one has to trace to a real job in a real place, such as a blocked drain in Fulwell or a boiler lockout in Strawberry Hill, and we must be able to say which partner company's visit it describes. We will not publish what we cannot tie to a job, nor trim or select reviews to bury complaints. If something went wrong, the review should say so.
Who would I actually be reviewing?
An independently owned local partner company from our network, plus how we handled the call and the follow-up. We take your call, match you to the partner that can reach you soonest, text you its name and chase the job if something goes wrong. The partner quotes, invoices and takes payment directly, so your review is partly about it and partly about us.
What can I verify about you without reviews?
Quite a lot. The number is 07480 487846 and a person answers at all hours, the address is 45A Wellesley Rd, Twickenham TW2 5RX, and a partner company gives a written quote before any work starts. The address and number should be identical wherever you find them. Ring and ask who would attend before you agree to a thing.
Can I leave a review after a job?
Yes, and we would welcome one. Tell us how it went by phone or through the contact form, and say which area and what kind of work was done. If you are happy for it to be published, say so. Complaints are as useful as praise, and we handle them in the same way, by chasing the partner company for you.
How should I read other firms' perfect ratings?
Carefully. A run of five-star reviews appearing within days, from accounts with no other history, or praise that never mentions a place, a fault or a price, often signals reviews customers did not write. A review naming a road, a problem and what was done is harder to fake and far more useful to the next reader.
What would a useful boiler review say?
It would name the fault, such as a lockout or a loss of pressure, and say whether the quote was given in writing before work started. It would also describe whether the boiler has stayed fixed. In a hard-water area like Twickenham, where scale returns, a note written a few months on is worth more than one written the same evening.
Why does it take months to judge a repair?
Because many faults come back if the cause was not dealt with. A boiler that loses pressure can seem fine for a week and then lose it again, and a scaled heat exchanger can look cured until the next cold snap. A fair review comes once the weather has tested the work, which is why we ask for follow-up as well as same-day feedback.
What if I have a complaint, not a review?
Take it to the partner company first, since it carried out the work and is best placed to put it right. Failing that, ring 07480 487846 and we will help chase it. We cannot promise a particular outcome, but you do not have to push it alone, and your statutory rights are unaffected. Our terms set out the detail.
